Built around 1630, the Château de Courances is a fine example of a Louis XIII-style château and is still lived in today. It is primarily known for its park and the many water courses running through it. This superb "water garden", is both a rare example of a little-known landscape style in the 16C as well as a thoroughly contemporary garden. The overall atmosphere is uniquely romantic.
