Châteauroux Forest
De Groene Gids
De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
Covering 5,207ha/12,866 acres, this oak forest divides the cereal plains of Champagne from the hedgerows of Boischaut. Its history is linked to that of the princes of Déols and the lords of Châteauroux. Formerly owned by the Chauvigny, the Bourbons-Condés, Louis XV, and also the preserve of the Comte d'Artois, it became a national property during the French Revolution, and was preserved and extended.
