De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
Located in a magnificent park where the river widens to form the Chambly Basin, this now-restored stone fort was built in the early 18C and replaced an earlier wooden structure. The latter was the work of Jacques de Chambly in 1665 to defend the Richelieu rapids on the crucial trade route between Montreal and Albany, New York. Find out more about the history of Fort Chambly and its occupants under the French Regime in the interpretation centre.
