The silhouette of Penyal d'Ifac, an impressive, bare 326m-high rock, provides a striking setting for the town of Calp. This huge limestone rock, connected to the mainland by a very narrow isthmus, was created by a landslide in the Sierra de Oltà. A footpath leads to the summit (approx. 1hr walk), offering stunning views of Calp and its salt marshes, the grey mountain chains inland and the undulating coastline as far as the Cap de la Nau.
