This winding avenue runs between La Candelaria and the Quinta de Bolívar. Its wide central reservation, tree-lined and adorned with water pools, is reserved for pedestrians. Come on a Sunday: the car park located opposite the Parque de los Periodistas hosts a small flea market and the Eje Ambiental fills with stalls selling waffles and souvenirs to the crowds heading on foot to the Cerro de Monserrate. The funicular and cable car climbing up to the basilica can be found at the end of the avenue.
