Housed in the former St-Jacques barracks, the Musée du Biterrois houses major collections devoted to archaeology, ethnology and natural history. Land and aquatic wildlife, Greek, Iberian and Roman amphorae, plus Gallo-Roman artefacts such as ceramics from La Graufesenque and military milestones from the Via Domitia. Don't miss the treasure of Béziers: three large chiselled silver dishes (1-2C). It also sheds light on the town's economy and history (Catharism and wine).
