The road crosses a pinewood and leads up to the sanctuary, which is perched at an altitude of 1 024m. The panoramic view here is sublime. The last Sunday in June is the date the "Aplec de Sant Pere de Madrona" is celebrated (meeting of St Peter of Madrona), during which participants receive bouquets of wild flowers and the saint's keys.
