Appearing at the end of the road, the Aiguilles ("needles") certainly constitute one of the finest sights to behold on the coast of Belle-Île; thanks to Monet's paintings (1886), it is probably also one of the island's best known. Port Coton is named for the white sea foam reminiscent of cotton that froths around these rock stacks in storms.
