De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
Basel port, active since the Middle Ages with trade between the Mediterranean and the North Sea, Swabia and Burgundy, has enjoyed a new lease of life since the start of the 20C, after having been eclipsed for a time by the construction of major Alpine roads and railways. Most of the traffic nowadays is imported goods. At the end of Westquaistrasse, at the Petit Huningue, an obelisk flanked by three flags marks the spot where the French, German and Swiss borders meet.
