Devoted to the Maramures region, this museum showcases interesting Bronze Age objects and pottery in its Archaeology section, the History section covers the region's traditions (furniture, tools...), history and literature. The Gold Working section is devoted to an exhibition on mining techniques: the town (whose name means "great mine") has worked gold and silver seams since the 14C.
