This neo-Classical edifice (1821-24) by Friedrich Weinbrenner was originally the "house of conversation" or the meeting-place of the town's high society, keen on balls and concerts. The casino occupies the right wing. Four gaming rooms were built in a style reminiscent of the reception halls of French castles.
