A charming town on the border between the Sologne and Berry, Aubigny has strong Scottish links. Its picturesque half-timbered houses and its Stuarts' Castle bear witness to a rich history. Numerous early-16C houses survive, notably on Rue du Prieuré and Rue des Dames. Note also the bailliff's house on Rue du Bourg-Coutant and, on the corner of Rue de l'Église, the attractive François-I house.
