Caprera is connected to La Maddalena by a 600m-long bridge. With its 34km of coastline and an area of 15.75km2, this is the archipelago's second largest island; it also has its most stunning landscapes and diverse flora. It is only inhabited a few months of the year, by shepherds. The island's northeastern side is grandiose, with sheer cliffs dropping dramatically into the sea, and Cala Coticcio, a spectacularly beautiful cove.
