The 4km-long Chemin Dame le Roi runs from Anse Bougainville to Anse Gaulette. This scenic route will take you through authentic countryside, dotted with colourful huts built out of corrugated iron, wood or concrete, papaya and banana trees and pineapple, aubergine and sugar cane plantations. While highly picturesque, the Chemin Dame le Roi route is also extremely challenging (good drivers only), so check the state of your brakes before heading off.
