A 5km footpath leads through this zoo, allowing visitors to admire the 2 000 animals kept here. All were born in captivity and are free to roam about vast enclosures in which the natural habitat of each species has been recreated. You go from the African plain, populated by elephants, giraffes and white rhinoceroses, to the luxurious vegetation of the Amazon jungle, or to the tropical vivarium, with its impressive reptiles. The zoo is also home to the largest falconry arena in Europe. Various shows are held every day.
