Royal Jewelry Museum
De Groene Gids
De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
A fine villa built in 1919 for Fatma Ali Heider Fadel by an architect and ceramists from Italy houses the Royal Jewelry Museum, which was opened in 1986. Note the naturalistic animal friezes in the bathrooms. The jewellery exhibited belonged to the family of Mohammed Ali. All the splendour of this era is shown by the diadems (including one that is set with 2 159 diamonds), parures and sceptres of this dynasty.
