On the slopes of the Cordillera Septentrional, the Loma Quita Espuela Science Reserve is home to tropical forest, an incredible variety of plants and wildlife and no less than 60 waterways. Spread over some 70km2, created to preserve the forest threatened by humankind, it is riddled with paths which provide information about the different species visible. The aptly named cloud path provides a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains at the Pico Quita Espuela (985m).
