This museum boasts an attractive setting in four 16C-17C hotels-particuliers (Estrades, Vaurs, Vergès and Monluc). Exhibits cover medieval archaeology, including recumbent effigies of Étienne de Durfort and his wife (14C or 16C); archaeological artefacts from Antiquity, such as a Greek marble statue of Venus (1C BC); oriental archaeology; prehistory and geology; and paintings and decorative arts, including a fine selection of 16C-19C works from French and foreign schools.
