This is the only relic of the abbey built by king Lombard Rachis when he converted to Catholicism. The abbey church dates from the 11C and has a sober façade with a large window with small columns set in it and a high bell tower with castellated crowning. A large painted wooden crucifix adorns the right wall of the nave and the transept was decorated with frescoes in the Baroque period. Under the chancel, you can see the crypt of the early church with its magnificent columns.
