This wild river originates in the Cascade Mountains near Crater Lake and flows into the Pacific Ocean 345km away. It flows through wilderness areas inhabited by deer, brown bears and otters, and then, east of Grants Pass, through hillsides covered with vineyards... offering an opportunity to participate in a tasting at a winery such as Kriselle Cellars or Del Rio Vineyards. The Rogue River also lends itself to rafting, which you can do for half a day or over several days.
