This huge strip of white sand stretching for approx. 10km boasts tranquil beaches that seem to have been forgotten by tourists and beach vendors. Part of the Sirinath National Park, they have escaped the clutches of property developers, along with the small areas of mangrove and the slither of forest that border them. Abandon any thoughts of diving here, however, as the coral reef extending 700m from the shore has been completely bleached as a result of pollution and the rise in sea temperatures.
