The Backers family business has a long tradition to its name, stretching back to 1843. Today, the sixth and seventh generations are running the show with great dedication. The fresh and flavoursome food draws on the region and the seasons, and ingredients are sourced locally wherever possible, including the venison and Diepholz geese. The restaurant is a long-standing member of the Slow Food community. There are also a few comfortable guestrooms. Try the "Backers zum Kennenlernen" deal: four-course regional set menu with drinks, plus overnight accommodation.
