A slice of The Golden Apple (La Pomme d'Or) is always delicious. A young couple from Brittany has taken over this restaurant, a former coaching inn with a slightly revamped dining area. The modern cuisine draws on the Sancerre terroir and Breton roots: vegetables from the garden, tomato water broth; pork tenderloin fillet, seasonal vegetables. You can see straight away that the chef is a pro (cf. the presentation of the dishes) who never forgets the sine qua non: how it tastes! The chocolate gianduja praline with a gavotte biscuit crisp is a wonderful dessert. The wine list, unsurprisingly, gives the floor to Sancerre wines, and that is fine by us!
