Not far from Mulhouse, this welcoming former post house (1850) occupies an imposing traditional Alsace building in the heart of the village. In a plush, spacious dining room strewn with period details (exposed stones and beams, wood panelling and a stained-glass door), the menu puts a contemporary spin on classic Alsace fare, with the odd striking nod to Japan. The meticulously prepared desserts are somewhat more traditional.
