Tucked away in the Castle Quarter Arcades, this small and personally run operation has just five tables and offers a surprise tasting menu full of fresh, seasonal flavours. Chef Lee Skeet is on his own in the kitchen, with his wife Helen delivering charming service out front. Skilful, pared-back dishes showcase quality ingredients and Lee’s eye for detail; he serves many of them himself, turning down the hip-hop soundtrack to explain his cooking with great pride. Their wine and oyster bar, Jackson’s, is situated on the floor below.
