Several monuments between Anielewicza Street and Stawki Street are worth looking out for: after the ghetto uprising monument on the site of the first confrontation with the Nazis, note the heroes of the ghetto monument. Further on, past the Szmul Zygielbojm monument, a mound erected in 1946 shows the height of the rubble in the ghetto. Finally, the Umschlagplatz monument marks the "embarkation point", from where 300,000 Jews were deported to Treblinka.
