Located at the foot of the citadel to which it was once connected by ramparts, Solomon's Tower was built during the reign of Béla IV (1206-1270) to guard the bends in the river, ready to detect the arrival of invaders. A hexagonal watchtower standing at over 30m tall and with walls up to 8m thick, it offers a clear view of the Pilis Mountains and the Danube. Knights' tournaments and medieval shows are held here.
