Completed in 1789, this church is one of the oldest in the Montreal region. A new façade was added in 1856. Inside, note the liturgical pieces sculpted by Philippe Liébert in the late 18C. The choir panelling and stalls are by Louis-Amable Quévillon. The sculpted décor is complemented by an astonishingly realistic trompe-l'oeil by a student of Napoléon Bourassa. The painting of St. Michael above the altar was the work of William Von Moll Berczy. Jean-Joseph Trestler is buried in the crypt.
