The work of Canadian architect Eberhard Zeidler, Canada's Expo '86 pavilion has become a landmark of the seafront. Its five Teflon "sails" are a tribute to the city's maritime history. The sails shelter a wide variety of infrastructures (hotel, offices, carparks, convention centre and Vancouver harbor visitor's center), in addition to a pleasant open-air terrace with a fine view of some of the city's iconic monuments and a view of the busy harbor activity on the third level.
