Designed by Phillips Barratt and opened in 1983, the huge sports complex of Vancouver Stadium is covered by a circus-like marquee. Equipped with a retractable roof, it seats 60,000 fans, who regularly come here to cheer the local BC Lions Canadian Football team, and attend cultural events.
