Traunkirchen's church stands on a peninsula overlooking the lake and once formed part of a Benedictine abbey founded in the 11C. After a fire in 1632, the Jesuits remodelled it in the style favoured by their congregation. Note the dazzling Baroque furnishings, especially the Fisherman's Pulpit which is made in the form of a boat.
