Focusing on the recovery of the Mt. St. Helens habitat, the center offers distant views of the crater and of the newly created Coldwater and Castle Lakes. A 7min video, A Change of Scenes, explains the survival and recovery of local flora and fauna. Rangers also deliver lectures on related topics, held in the pavilion or on the deck of the center.
