The road passes through this magnificent wood of Canary pines which covers an entire slope separated from the coast by a deep ravine. It is well worth continuing to the end of the tarmacked road following the signs to "Zona de acampada" and walking the last 200m. At the edge of the ravine you will be rewarded by a stunning view of Agaete, Gáldar and the coast to the north, and of Tenerife and El Teide to the west.
