On this 60ha protected site around 100 farmhouses and outbuildings from all over the country have been reconstructed. The buildings are laid out broadly in keeping with the architectural east-west split that prevails in Austria. Farm buildings retain their bygone furniture and tools, giving visitors a nostalgic picture of the lives and times of previous generations. With its fields in active cultivation, it is hard to believe that this is a museum!
