The collections of the Historical Museum of the Palatinate contain works of 16C to 19C art and craft, including Frankenthal porcelain. The most precious item in the prehistory collections is the famed Golden Hat of Schifferstadt (12C BC), a ritual cone of thin sheet gold. The museum also houses the cathedral's treasures and the Wine Museum.
