The last palace to be built in Rome for a pontifical dynasty (18C) today houses the city museum, which tells the story of Rome from the Middle Ages to the current day through a rich collection of paintings, sculptures, photos, engravings, furniture, clothing and ceramics. One section is dedicated to patrons from important Roman families, while the visit ends with an exhibition of portrait photos.
