St-Louis Church, adorned with a portico graced with Corinthian columns, was built in 1835 by the architect Félix Garde on one of the corners of Place Colbert. It stands on the site of a parish church (1768), of which only the bell tower is visible today, and was itself built over the chapel of a royal convent of the Capuchins (1672). Inside is a chapel devoted to seafarers. Another chapel, St-Louis, houses the tomb of the naval quartermaster of Rochefort, Michel Bégon.
