Ahead, the four pointed peaks of the Sir Donald Range are visible (left to right): Avalanche Mountain, Eagle Peak, Uto Peak and the great slanting slab of Mt. Sir Donald itself. To the north the steep pyramidal form of Mount Cheops can be seen. To the south there are views of glaciers across the rocky and bounding Illecillewaet River.
