Necropoli di Sant'Andrea Priu
De Groene Gids
De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
The grandiose domus de janas of Sant'Andrea Priu cannot fail but impress. Twenty impressive sepulchres were dug between the fifth and third millennium BCE in a 10m-high trachyte south facing wall. The Tomba del Capo (250m² and 18 rooms) was turned into a place of worship, as depicted by the handsome series of frescoes spanning the 4C to the 14C, which illustrate the site's evolution: early Christian worship and a Byzantine then a Benedictine church. This group of sepulchres is among the most significant of the island.
