Encompassing a huge granite mountain range covered with luxuriant tropical forest, Khao Chamao Park covers an area of 80km2 and is home to a rich variety of mammals (gibbons, sambar stags, tigers, gaurs, bears) and birds. To the left of the car park, a footpath ascends the mountain (1 028m) and leads to the Khao Chamao waterfalls, which tumble over an array of rocks and pools on eight different levels, creating an impressive sight.
