Sinharaja is the last of the island's primeval tropical forests and is home to a profusion of endemic species, plants and animals: huge copses of adult trees, giant flowers, monkeys and birds. This exceptional forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, can be explored along easy hiking paths in the company of a guide (compulsory).
