Located on the site of the former Montcalm market, this lively square has been a cultural and entertainment hub for the locals since 1900. Note the austere Montcalm Palace (1930). Next-door is the Théâtre du Capitole, whose rounded façade is typical of the exuberant Beaux Arts style that was all the rage in the early 20C.
