Louis-Hémon Museum
Michelin Gids
De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
Focusing on the life and work of Louis Hémon as well as literature in general, this vast museum complex possesses a collection of some 1,400 works of art, documents and ethnological artefacts from the world of letters. Also open to the public are the house of Samuel Bédard, which served as the setting for his novel Maria Chapdelaine, and the famous contemporary pavilion (1986) built of quartz. Exhibits here trace the author's life from his birth in Brittany to his tragic death in Chapleau (Ontario).
