Round-Up Hall of Fame
Michelin Gids
De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
Tucked beneath the south stands of the Round-Up stadium, the Hall of Fame commemorates the annual rodeo and its participants. The largest display is the famous bucking bronc, War Paint, mounted and kicking, while engraved on plaques are the names of rodeo winners and other inductees, including Jackson Sundown, a famous Indian champion who took the bronc-riding title when he was 50 years old. Photos, paintings, saddles, bridles and other paraphernalia celebrate what sportswriter Red Smith called the American Cowboy: "Athletes and competitors and one thing more-they ride the last frontier of rugged individualism, paying their own dusty way earning only what they are good enough to win.
