De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
The bridge, whose origins date back to Roman times, was erected in the 14C, covered in 1583 and rebuilt after WWII following the original plans. The former pillars can still be seen upstream. Beyond is the Borgo Ticino, a former fishing district where the women came to do their washing, illustrated by the statue of a washerwoman on the shore. On the bridge is a plaque that relates that Albert Einstein, who stayed in Pavia, liked the spot.
