This is the former passage des Feuillants. The Benedictine monks of the Feuillants monastery improved their standard of living by renting out houses (a number of which survive between n° 235 and 229 of rue Saint-Honoré). In 1791, the Club des Feuillants was set up in the monastery: it was a place of high society, dissidents from the Jacobins who followed the theories of La Fayette, Bailly, Sieyès and Talleyrand.
