This large café, decorated in red, white and green, is housed in a neo-Classical building dating from 1831 which was the site of the student uprising against the Austrians in 1848. Upstairs (piano nobile), the beautiful meeting rooms where journalists, politicians and scientists once met are now home to the Museo del Risorgimento e dell'Età Contemporanea.
