This very attractive museum situated in the centre of the De Hoge Veluwe national park was opened in 1938 and enlarged in 1961 (creation of a sculpture garden) and again in 1977 (addition of a new wing). It houses a large collection of sculptures, drawings and paintings, including many works by Van Gogh. Other works of art include Dutch paintings from the Golden Age, French Impressionists, Futurists, Cubists, Symbolists and contemporary sculptures.
