The numerous craters on the side of the imposing Osorno volcano have preserved its imposing summit from eruption. The summit dominates a landscape of glacial lakes in the Parque Nacional Vicente Pérez Rosales, which is home to the secret route of the ancient Mapuches across the Andes.
