The Manyeleti Game Reserve (23 000ha) is located between Timbavati to the north and Sabi Sand to the south and is less developed and wilder than its neighbours. During the apartheid period it was the only reserve accessible to Blacks (they were not permitted to visit Kruger). The area has experienced less tourist development, as a result of which it has remained wilder than elsewhere.
